The app
avstat is a macOS menu-bar application that turns system load into sound and, on a wallpaper and screensaver, into colour and shape. It is provided by Deepak Marathe, trading as dfacto.ai, India.
Licence
A single avstat purchase (Pro or Studio) grants a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to run avstat on the number of machines stated for that tier, for as long as macOS continues to run the version you purchased. There is no subscription and no recurring charge. The licence is a perpetual token, verified entirely offline against a public key built into the app; it activates by pasting the token or opening an avstat://activate?token=… link.
Sound
Every sound avstat makes is synthesised on your machine from your system's own load figures — there are no samples, no recordings and no third-party audio, so there is nothing to licence beyond the app itself.
No warranty
avstat is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Deepak Marathe is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of avstat.
